Rob is a passionate chef and horticulturalist. He is currently the Food and Horticulture Manager at Jamie’s Farm, working with young people from disadvantaged backgrounds in order to re-engage them with educational life, and enable them to fulfil their potential both in school and the wider social setting. Rob has managed the kitchen and the organic fruit and veg garden at their Bath site for over 5 years. As well as working with the young people who visit he also runs food events, cookery courses, and manages the food operation for a small yearly festival. Rob joined the farm in 2012, before which he did a number of “sensible” office jobs in the field of sustainable development. At the age of 29, having had enough of London life, he set off on his bicycle around the world stopping off to work at a number of organic farms. On his return, Rob decided to pursue his love for food and worked as a chef in two award winning restaurants in Bristol. He also completed a Permaculture Design Course and an Organic Gardening course with Bristol City College before joining the Jamie’s Farm team.
