Dates: Monday 8th – Thursday 11th October 2018 | Teacher Chef: Peter Harrison
Location: Selgars Mill, Uffculme, DevonApplication Form Consent Form
Participants will split into two groups, spending half of their time in the kitchen learning to cook healthy, delicious and affordable meals from scratch and the other half of their time participating in field activities with local Devon growers and producers.
Our chef for the course is Peter Harrison. Peter did a superb job on the Autumn Root Camp for Westminster last year, and we’re thrilled to have him back!
Peter has 30 years restaurant experience, not only cooking in his own restaurant but in France, Australia and London. These days, Peter lives in Suffolk. He says that his inspiration comes more and more from the countryside around him and he regularly harvests wild vegetation to enhance deliciously new and exciting dishes.
Field activities include w00dcarving, firemaking, apple pressing and working on the kitchen garden that surrounds the property. We’ll make chocolate, visit a local farm and take a gentle walk by the river.
We’ll also have wonderful guest speakers and a story teller!
